The official legal steps required by the Romanian General Inspectorate for Immigration (IGI) to secure your right to work.
Official Authorization to Work
A work permit is the mandatory document issued by the Romanian government that allows a foreign citizen to be employed by a specific company. We handle the entire communication with the labor and immigration authorities, ensuring that the employer’s vacancy is legally registered and that your documents meet all the criteria for approval. This is the foundation of your legal stay in Romania.
STEP 01
File Preparation
We assist in preparing a complete and compliant application file, including all required documents such as criminal record, medical clearance, and employment details.
STEP 02
File Submission
We submit your complete file to the General Inspectorate for Immigration in the city where you will work.
STEP 03
Government Review
The authorities verify both the employer (tax records, stability) and the candidate. This is the stage where the official Work Permit is either approved or additional information may be requested.
STEP 04
Issuance of the Permit
Once approved, the original Work Permit is issued, allowing the candidate to proceed with the next steps for legal employment in Romania.
Yes. Every year, the Romanian Government sets a limit on the number of foreign workers allowed. We ensure your application is submitted within this annual quota.
